경쾌한 삼바, 생기 넘치는 초리뉴 (chorinho), 햇살 가득한 보사노바에 취한 'HAPPY Deluxe'는 라틴 음악의 풍부함과 리듬 프레임워크를 결합하여 앙상블 구석구석 자연스러운 즉흥 연주를 버무린다. 이는 28년차 월드재즈 밴드만 가능한 '행복의 순간'에 대한 찬사이다.
행복에 대한 음악의 오마주로 퍼렐 윌리엄스(Pharrell Williams)의 'Happy', 바비 멕퍼린 (Bobby McFerrin)의 'Don't Worry, Be Happy'와 같은 상징적인 히트곡을 새롭게 재해석하고 'Caipirinha', 'Here and Now' 등 오리지널 곡을 통해 'HAPPY Deluxe'의 열정을 담고 있다.
우리는 많은 사람들의 일상이 결코 평온하지 않다는 것을 잘 알고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 우리는 콰드로 누에보의 "긍정의 음악"으로 위안을 받는다. 콰드로 누에보는 아라베스크, 발칸 스윙, 탱고를 지나 브라질로 향하는 대담한 즉흥 연주를 어쿠스틱 모드로 혼합하여 행복한 음악의 길을 탐구한다.
1996년 독일에서 결성된 콰드로 누에보는 월드뮤직과 재즈를 넘나드는 고품격 크로스오버 재즈밴드이다. 4,000회가 넘는 라이브 공연을 통해 탄탄한 음악성과 원숙미를 자랑하며 신작 'HAPPY Deluxe'까지 20장의 음반을 발표했다. 13번의 ‘독일 재즈 어워드’, 5번의 ‘유럽 임팔라상’ 등 을 수상한 유럽의 대표적인 28년차 월드재즈 밴드이다.
앨범 'HAPPY Deluxe'는 오렌지컬러 게이트폴더 2LP 한정판과 3단 디지펙 CD로 발매되었다.
